Matching Eggs
Math/Art Provide each student with a plastic egg to decorate with stickers and permanent markers. Once the eggs have dried, separate the egg halves and mix them all together in a basket. Have the children match and reattach the halves.

Spring Egg Art Activity
Students will create a spring egg out of pastels, construction paper and glue. Students will also create patterns and experience a different type of art media.

Eggs Galore!
Science/Poetry/Art Read the following poem to the class. Can the children discover the meaning of "dozen" and "half a dozen" from the poem? Compare the soft, leathery eggshell of the turtles to the hard shells of the chicks. Compare the raising techniques of each. Write more poems about things that come from eggs.

Matching Sounds
Listening Open a dozen plastic eggs. Place a different material into six pairs of eggs. Materials might include paper clips, sand, rice, buttons, etc. Replace the egg tops and tape them closed. Challenge the children to shake the eggs and find the two that make the same sound. Can they guess what is inside?
